In honor of Father's Day, this month our Celebrity Makeover features men known for their "macho" appeal. As you can see, men can and do benefit from the same salon services that women typically receive.
Steve Kader, lead dancer and singer, and Michael Hammond, choreographer, arrived at Maxine's expecting routine hair cuts and facial waxing to prepare for a photo shoot occurring that day. What they received, however was much more! Susan, master cosmetologist and owner of Maxine's, and Charlene, an esthetician and waxing specialist, pampered their guests in the New Orleans-style atmosphere that Maxine's is well known for.
Both men received haircuts, as well as relaxing, cleansing facials (essential for preparing their faces for promotional photos). In addition, Susan took a few extra steps with Steve, highlighting the tips of his hair while also balancing the remaining color. The goal was to lighten Steve's hair around his face, which would create a more youthful appearance while also bringing out the best colors in his eyes. Michael received some extra moisturizing and massage therapy work during his facial to smooth and moisturize the skin on his face.
Ladies, be sure to catch the show when The Chippendales come to Melbourne in June (currently scheduled for June 14th at the County Line). Also, you can read more about Steve at Suite Magazine, where he is featured as the June 2006 Cover Model and interviewed as the Suite Knight.
